A simple line of three lapis lazuli stones on a silver wire. These have proven popular with friends and I've made several.

I made this solid silver ring for my husband. It was carved in wax with Nordic runes and then cast in solid silver. The rune indentations were then oxidised for contrast.

Experiments in depletion guilding resulting in melted look amplified with hammer finish. Solid sterling silver stud earrings looking a little like raw nuggets.

A penannular brooch is used to hold together pieces of fabric and was used in ancient Celtic jewellery prior to the Roman period. It is made of a ring and a pin which crosses the ring.

Not the world's clearest photo but this is a sandwich of silver and copper with a mobius surface (single side as the top part is flipped). Not hallmarked due to the copper layer.

This solid sterling silver hairclip was the first piece of jewellery I ever made. It has copper, gilding metal and silver highlights as decoration.

Collection of handmade fine and sterling silver earrings with transparent enamel, 10 different colours with 2 different sizes.
The red enamel tends to react with the silver so I use a special hot fired underlayer called flux (or fondant) which then means I use fine silver with enamel solder for the earring backs. Cooler melting temperatures allow the use of sterling silver.

This bracelet cuff is made from a coil of copper from the inside of our old solar panel inverter and is enhanced by a simple black beach pebble. It was made for a friend to remember a special beach near Vancouver in British Colombia.

The cuffs also have a hidden pattern on the back of the bezel which is the shape of the Yoho mountains.

Michelle made a chess set for her brother who is a great chess player. Key was to make identifiable and identical pieces for each team but also define which team they are on.
It is made from old abandoned plumbing and clock parts. Team A is highly polished and team B is not polished and has patinated blue elements.

There are endless opportunities for turning old hardware into art.
