The artwork of Silver Lynx Desiign is still in its early development stage, with a lot of experimentation and learning. Nonetheless, a general pattern and some direction is now emerging. The work and our ambitions can be divided into three evolving themes:
Art for our community and region . We create and donate unique outdoor benches, sculptures and building decorations in public spaces in our homebase: the Annecy-Aravis region. We started in the Bluffy commune and the idea is to steadily create and install a substantial portfolio over the next decade. The region has given us so much over the last 20 years and this is one of the ways in which we aim to give back.
Art for fun and learning Skillbuilding and playful pieces made for friends, family and ourselves. We are still learning and refining multiple crafts and testing out ideas for combining techniques and using different materials. The result is a potpourri of works with mixed levels of ambition and success. On this site we show some of the more interesting pieces and explain the materials and techniques used in their creation.
Art for good causes We are fortunate in that we do not need to earn our livelihood from selling SLD artworks. Two professional engineering careers have provided us with what we need.
We do aim however to direct some of the outputs from SLD to support some specific good causes. We have several themes and charities that we already support via donations and volunteer work. For now, the SLD focus is on learning, to enable the later creation of works that we proud to sell. The aim is to integrate our efforts and your generosity and enable us to collectively give much more. We are not there yet on the artwork, but hope to be there by 2025.
What this all means in practice is that the artwork of SLD is currently not for sale. At this stage we are happy just to present our work and donate most of it.

If you really like one of the pieces presented here that is not installed in the public space we may be able to arrange something. If you can indicate your preferred registered charity and the proposed appropriate amount you will give them , then we can gift you an artwork in recogniiton of your generosity.
