We recovered a large coil of copper from our old solar panel inverter. Michelle then cleaned up the copper by removing the plastic coating, annealing and shaping it into cuffs.
We've also reused old copper washers stashed for years by a mechanic.
Old coins have been used in jewellery for probably at least 1000 years. Michelle has also used them in making cufflinks and earrings. A pair of earrings can be found in this section and the coin cufflinks in the cufflink section.
This bracelet cuff is made from a coil of copper from the inside of our old solar panel inverter and is enhanced by a simple black beach pebble. It was made for a friend to remember a special beach near Vancouver in British Colombia.
A matching set of bracelet cuffs from recycled copper for myself and a friend to remember an amazing trip to Lake O'Hara in the Yoho National park in British Colombia.
The cuffs also have a hidden pattern on the back of the bezel which is the shape of the Yoho mountains.
The irregular stones were cut and shaped by Andrew.
Experimental copper cuff with small cast silver polar bear and sea glass as ice floe.
Simple earrings made from a mechanic's abandoned stash of copper washers.
These butterscotch egg yolk amber beads (probably fake) were from my Grandmother's necklace.
Remade into earrings for family.
Old ski passes cut around fun shapes for ski enthusiasts! Can't take everything too seriously ...
Brought these to the ski club recently where there was lots of interest!
Used my own recycled silver scraps for the first circle and old French franc coins with current US dimes to celebrate achieving French citizenship by a US citizen.
